High Capacity Structured Packing (AMBSTRUC plus)

High Capacity Structured Packing

What is High Capacity Structured Packing?

High Capacity Structured Packing is a type of material used in distillation and absorption processes to separate different components in a mixture efficiently. It consists of corrugated sheets or grids arranged to provide a large surface area for contact between liquid and vapor phases. This design enhances mass transfer, allowing for better separation of components. "High capacity" refers to its ability to handle large flow rates while maintaining effective separation. It's commonly employed in industries like petrochemicals and pharmaceuticals for its efficiency and versatility.

Ambani's AMBSTRUC Plus Series High-capacity structured packing has a unique texture which offers uniform liquid spread. This structured packing is used in the distillation column to increase capacity and offers reduce pressure drop compared to conventional packing. It replaces sheet metal structured packing, regular random packing and trays. High-capacity structured packing consists of thin corrugated metal plates/gauzes which force fluids to spread throughout the column.
